NEW LAYOUTS!!

I've been totally MIA here lately, but I at least have some layouts for you.
For most all of these layouts I used a sketch from http://www.sektchinspiration.ning.com/ and part of a monthly kit from http://www.scrap-room.com/.

Sketchy Saturday - 4/2/11

SKETCH #89
" FREEZIN FOR A REASON"
PRODUCTS USED:  All papers came from Cloud 9 Design (Colorbok). I love these papers! The entire paper pack coordinates and makes it so easy to put a layout together!  The snowflake ribbon is actually one of the $1 spools from JoAnn's. A self adhesive ribbon, mind you! The puffy snowflake stickers are from Recollections. I think I actually found these on 50% sale the other day! A great buy!

Taking the yellow from the slide in the pictures, I decided to use it as my accent color. I didn't want there to be a ton of yellow, so I matted the pictures with a very thin line of yellow cardstock and just a little touch of it on the top and bottom of the striped paper. I used my Dymo for the date and journaling strips. After I faux stitched the journaling block, I pop dotted it to add just a little bit of dimension.

All in all, I would have to say that I really really like this layout!

Hapiness is Homemade

I made this layout using a combination of The Scrap Room's September 2010 Kit and Sketch Inspiration's Sketch #210.
This part of the kit included Fancy Pants My Family papers. The florettes are also from this kit as well as the title block! I grabbed the black ribbon piece from my stash. I did a little freehand stitching and completed my layout!

Head over to Sketch Inspiration to try this sketch out this week and qualify to win a great prize from The Scrappy Gourmet!

Sketchy Saturday - 3/5/11

Sketch #83
My "O-R-E-O" layout

For this layout, I simply tried to use up more of my stash. I unfortunately don't have names of the paper lines. I used my glitter Gel Pen for a little glittery accent on the flowers and leaves. I used this same pen to outline the letters on my title. I think it added just the right touch! I used my Cricut Cartridge Keystone for the title.

If you like this sketch and want to give it a try, link your layout below and leave a comment stating you did so! I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Sketchy Saturday - 2/26/11

Sketch #42
"School Daze"
I used minimal papers here. I used Plantin Schoolbook for the font using the shadow function for the black background on the letters. This layout came together pretty quickly. I would love to see what you can do!

Give this sketch a try. Then, link your layout below and leave a comment too! Let's see what you got!

Sketchy Saturday - 1/15/11

Sketch #3
"MY POKEY HAIR"
I had so much fun with this sketch and the papers!

I used all Dream Street Papers - Urban Ink! For the background I used Shockwave; the starred paper is High Voltage; and the stripes is Grunge. I tell you, these papers are so versatile and so easy to work with! They are perfect for 'boy' pages!

The cardboard stickers (97% Complete Boy) by 7 Gypsies were just too fun! It was so hard to jsut choose a few! The words off to the side of the circle were actually just a bunch of words on long strips of stickers. I cut out just the ones I wanted to use for this layout and stuck them on. When I was done arranging them all, I lightly went over them with my sanding block. I love the effect!

For the date I used my Dymo label maker again. And for the title, you ask? Thickers, of course! Duh!

All Joy

This is based on Sketch Inspiration's Sketch #156.
Head on over and see what you can do with it!
I used K & Co's Adhesive Chipboard for the title and Basic Grey's "Oliver" line for all the papers used.

This was a little tough for me to do. I don't do very well with "empty" space, but I think, all in all, this came out okay. I'm still learning to use the little spritzer bottles. I'm sure, in time, I will be a pro......yeah, maybe not so much! LOL

Kindergarten Layouts

Layouts from Nathan's first day of Kindergarten!

I used DCWV's "Grade School" 6x6 paper pack for all four layouts. I also used Thickers on all titles too.

These were really fun to do. I was quite happy with the outcome!

Spring & Fall School Pix

I'm sorry, but I have to be a gushing Momma for a sec.....He's got the sweetest and most catching smile!!!

Spring Pix 2010
I used My Mind's Eye "Complete Boy" and Thickers lettering. The ribbon I found in the dollar bins at Michael's!

Fall Pix 2009
I used SEI's Addison line and again, used Thickers lettering. I added some ribbon I found in Michael's dollar bins again. With some miscellaneous buttons and a swirly clip, I completed the layout.

Nature Hike, Sketch #37

MY SKETCH #37This layout is one of my faves! It was so easy to do and so much fun! I used my own sketch for this one. I also used Crate Paper's Lemon Grass kit. Everything I needed was right there; die cut embellies, coordinating papers, journaling block....everything.
