This was based off sketch #239 at Sketch Inspiration (my own sketch #100 ).
I did a little creative photo altering to get the right look. It's not perfect, but I love it!

Fun

I finished another awesome sketch from Sketch Inspiration! Sketch #215
Head on over and see what you can do with it!!
I used the April 2011 Kit from The Scrap Room.
This layout used My Mind's Eye Stella n Rose, Gertie.
Everything you see came from this part of the kit except for the blingy flourish and the journaling strips, oh and the pix, of course!
I added my own little touches with the white dots on the scallops and sparkle on the big flower. I did a little inking on the title and the striped piece as well as the scallops and journaling strips.

Halloween 2010

This layout was created using sketch #211 from Sketch Inspiration. A fun sketch for sure! Ok, it kinda took a life of it's own once I got started, but I really like how it turned out! Head on over and see what you can come up with! There's a great prize this week!
I wish I could tell you what products I used, but really, I just checked my halloween stash. I chose the plaid paper because of my plaid coat. I think it worked out great! I can tell you that my title is Thickers. I used some circle cutters to do my outlines around the circles.

Hapiness is Homemade

I made this layout using a combination of The Scrap Room's September 2010 Kit and Sketch Inspiration's Sketch #210.
This part of the kit included Fancy Pants My Family papers. The florettes are also from this kit as well as the title block! I grabbed the black ribbon piece from my stash. I did a little freehand stitching and completed my layout!

Head over to Sketch Inspiration to try this sketch out this week and qualify to win a great prize from The Scrappy Gourmet!

New Sketch at Sketch Inspiration!

Sketch Inspiration has a new sketch this week with a great prize from Shop Remember When!
Head on over and give Sketch #209 a try.

I'll post my layout as soon as I'm done. I've got the pic, the papers, the embellies and everything else I need. Now, I just need to put it all together!

As promised:
I used an EK Success border punch for the scallops. To make the dotted circle I used The Crafter's Workshop plastic stencil. All the papers came from Colorbok Rustic Earth paper pack.
I used Tim Holtz Sprokets for the "O's". I think it was a perfect touch! I also used Thickers for the title. Once they were adhered, I decided to sand them a little bit so they weren't so clean. After all, the rest of the layout was  shabby.
The date spot came from Maya Road. I also decided to rough up the edges of this too. The full on black was just to crisp for this layout.
I used my Sew Easy tool with the zigzag head for the stitching. This was actually the first time I used this tool. I do not have the recommended mat for it, so I just used my mouse pad. It worked pretty well, but I was trying to poke through 2 and 3 sheets of cardstock. I don't doubt that if I woulda pressed harder, it woulda gone through perfectly. but I didn't want to risk ruining the paper since I hadn't used this before. It's really fun to use!

This was such a fun sketch to work with! You really need to check it out!

Enjoying Life

I created this layout using Sketch #206 from Sketch Inspiration this week! What a wonderful sketch to work with! I love it! Head over there right now so you don't miss out on this week's amazing giveaway!!
I used Cloud 9 Design for all the papers, the flower cutouts and light blue flourishes as well as the tag! I have had the blue lace hanging around for aobut 2 years just waiting for the perfect layout! Thanks to Maya Road, I had the perfect date spot for this layout. Wondering how I got the lattice on the bottom? That's thanks to EK Success's large punch!

Antiquing

Trisha has uploaded a brand new sketch (#202) at Sketch Inspiration! There's a wonderfully B-I-G, HUGE prize this week! Head on over and give the sketch a try for a shot at the prize package!

Here is my take on the sketch!
PRODUCTS USED: The background came from Bazzill while the other two papers came from K & Co's Life's Journey paper pack. The stamp with the pin through it is also from the same paper pack. The date bloc came from Maya Road. For the title I, of course, used Thickers. The metal pin is a new fave of mine by Tim Holtz!

I only had one package of these particular Thickers letters, so I had to make do with what I had. My "N's" are actually upside down "U's" while the "U" is actually a "V". I think it worked out pretty well, though.

You see the stamp with the pin through it? Well, once I stuck the pin through it, It wouldn't lay flat. It wouldn't lay anywhere near flat, so I had to improvise a bit. I got some foam dots and attached them to the back. This gave me lift just where I needed it so it would lay just right on my page.

The paper flowers, although the perfect colors, looked much too crisp and clean for this page. After all, I'm talking about going antiquing..... So, I inked them up jsut a bit. Just enough to take the crispness off. I did the same for my journaling block.

Ok, my picture itself isn't the best quality either. Why, you ask? Well, I too the picture with my old cell phone and printed the picture as a 5x7. So, there you go. But, after I sanded the edges of the picture, I think it all worked, even though the picture quality isn't all that great.

My First Suncatchers

This layout was based on Sketch #201 from Sketch Inspiration. This was my second take on this sketch and I can say with 100% certainty....I LOVE THIS LAYOUT! Head over there and see what you can do with this sketch to win a prize!
All the papers and embellishments are from Crate Paper's Prudence Collection Kit. I absolutely love this line! It's so functional and versatile and I totally love the colors! For the title I, of course, used Thickers!

Good Dog

I used Sketch #201 from Sketch Inspiration for this layout! This was such a fun layout to work with. I had to go outside my comfort zone for this one a little bit, but I think it came out ok. Head on over and give it a go for your chance to win a great prize from Tidbitz In Time!
I used Prima Marketing The Breathe Paper Collection for all papers used. The date circle came from Maya Road.

For the brads and cardboard stickers I used Max & Whiskers by Basic Grey. I have always had my eye on this line because I really like the color combo! I just never bought it because I knew I wouldn't do very many doggie pages. My dear friend, Jenny, sent me a few tidbits of this line for Christmas, so I was finally able to touch it, feel it and use it! I do so love these colors!

All Joy

This is based on Sketch Inspiration's Sketch #156.
Head on over and see what you can do with it!
I used K & Co's Adhesive Chipboard for the title and Basic Grey's "Oliver" line for all the papers used.

This was a little tough for me to do. I don't do very well with "empty" space, but I think, all in all, this came out okay. I'm still learning to use the little spritzer bottles. I'm sure, in time, I will be a pro......yeah, maybe not so much! LOL
