Halloween 2010

This layout was created using sketch #211 from Sketch Inspiration. A fun sketch for sure! Ok, it kinda took a life of it's own once I got started, but I really like how it turned out! Head on over and see what you can come up with! There's a great prize this week!
I wish I could tell you what products I used, but really, I just checked my halloween stash. I chose the plaid paper because of my plaid coat. I think it worked out great! I can tell you that my title is Thickers. I used some circle cutters to do my outlines around the circles.

Snow Much Fun

No sketch for this one! Maybe that's why I had such a hard time with it! LOL
I used part of My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose collection for all the papers and for the scallop chipboard pieces! As always, Thickers became my title. The flags are actually canvas stickers from Little Yellow Bicycle. I know it's not from the same theme, but they seemed to fit fairly well with these papers.

That's it! A little stamping and faux stitching and I completed this layout!

Sketchy Saturday - 1/22/11

SKETCH #5
 "DAIRY QUEEN"

I tried to use up some stash on this one. I wanted to keep this simple and uncluttered. I wanted the pictures to speak for themselves. There reslly was no technique to anything here except that I used this sketch.

Hope you like the sketch and can use it! If you give it a shot, upload your layout below and include a link back to your blog!

Christmas Joy 2009

Okay, so this one was kinda thrown together a bit. I'm not 1,000% thrilled with it, but i do still like it. What i really like is that it's not your traditional Christmas page! (i like being a little -or a lot- different). Anyway, I used my stash. I had to find things to work together, but i think i managed ok.

Indiana State Fair 2010

I finally completed my State Fair layouts!
This was a bit of a challenge for me. I tried to make all these layouts different. I didn't want them to all look like eachother. I used a few different paper packs and designs. I incorporated cirlcles, flowers, ribbon, buttons and other little embellies. Coming up with different titles was a bit trying as well. All in all, I think I accomplished what I wanted. I am quite satisfied with the end result!

Good Times

A fun layout I created for the Scrapping Challenge #6 (Fun Times 2) and #8 (Giggles) over at Have Your Way With Paper for their weekend crop this weekend.

I used BoBuny's 8x8 combo pack containing Flutter Butter, Delilah and Alissa papers. I mounted the title on pop dots for a little dimension. To adhere the flowers, I put the brad through the flowers and opened up the back. Then, I used a large glue dot and stuck it to the back of the flower then to the page (a fun technique someone taught me a while back).

Not much journaling done on this one. I figured this was one of those layouts where the pictures say it all!

Arbuckle Acres

***July 12, 2009***
This layout was inspired by one of the October Challenges on Have Your Way With Paper; the Scrap Pink Ad Challenge.

It's not exactly the same, but it gave me a great starting point.

I used Memory Keepers Scrapbook Pad "Grandma's Kitchen" for all the papers. This paper pad also includes some punch out which I used a few of here. After I tore some of the edges, I inke a bit with brown.

My letter are, of course, Thickers letters. "Acres" is actually blank cipboard letters which I prettied up. I used my water marker and pulled some green, orange, brown and yellow and layered it on there; one color ar a time. Once that was dry, I used my water marker with my pearlescence water colors and used the same colors and same technique. Once that was dry, I glued the letters on my layout and let sit for about 20 minutes (to make sure they were nice and dry). I then grabbed my black Zig maker (the fat edge) and outlined each letter.

All Life Is An Experiment

***July 12, 2009***

This layout was based off on one of Page Maps' sketches. All the paper used came from Crate Paper's "Lemon Grass" line. Even the cutout leaf vine was included in their paper pack.

Can I say? I totally LOVE this line. It is so versatile and fun to use!

I used Fiskar's "Threading Water" punch on the bottom of the striped paper strip and EK Success's "Dotted Scallop Edger Punch" at the top of the striped paper. I thought that would make a nice contrast.

I used some tarnished silver brads to attach my vellum quote, which I decided to use as the title.

Peanut Butter & Jelly

I bought Cosmo Cricket's Line "Earth Love" last week and made this great layout! I am thrilled with the outcome, but even more thrilled with this line! It is so easy to work with and so versatile!
I obviously threw in my own touches, but i needed a great filler and this was totally what I wanted! Best thing.....I didn't even have to use any of the 12x12 papers! REALLY! All I did was cut pieces off the front piece that showed little bits and pieces of what was included in the pack! How awesome is that?

This layout was also part of the August sketch challenge on Have Your Way With Paper.
