My First Suncatchers

This layout was based on Sketch #201 from Sketch Inspiration. This was my second take on this sketch and I can say with 100% certainty....I LOVE THIS LAYOUT! Head over there and see what you can do with this sketch to win a prize!
All the papers and embellishments are from Crate Paper's Prudence Collection Kit. I absolutely love this line! It's so functional and versatile and I totally love the colors! For the title I, of course, used Thickers!

Nature Hike, Sketch #37

MY SKETCH #37This layout is one of my faves! It was so easy to do and so much fun! I used my own sketch for this one. I also used Crate Paper's Lemon Grass kit. Everything I needed was right there; die cut embellies, coordinating papers, journaling block....everything.

Oh Fall

Except for the journaling, this is my favorite comleted layout for the Cream of The Crop Weekend over at Have Your Way With Paper. It's not that I don't like my handwriting, it's just that my spacing was off and I just don't like that, that's all.The About Fall (#4) Challenge wa to create a layout stating what I love about fall. I could have done a layout without pictures, but I couldn't resist using these amazing fall pictures of my son.

I used Crate Paper's Lemon Grass line for this layout. I love this line because it is so versatile. It's also a wonderful fall paper to use as well. You can create a wonderful fall page without it being too dark or dull. And THAT, I love!

For the word "fall" I used my favorite letters....Thickers! For the "Oh" I used CLoud 9's foil edged letters.

I did a little inking and sanding on this layout too. I sanded the edges of the pictures and the striped paper as well. I think it adds a little texture to it. I used my black fine tipped marker to add some doodling as well. Pop dots were used to lift the flower for some fun dimension! I layered like this: pop dot, flower, pop dot, flower. I love the effect.

All Life Is An Experiment

***July 12, 2009***

This layout was based off on one of Page Maps' sketches. All the paper used came from Crate Paper's "Lemon Grass" line. Even the cutout leaf vine was included in their paper pack.

Can I say? I totally LOVE this line. It is so versatile and fun to use!

I used Fiskar's "Threading Water" punch on the bottom of the striped paper strip and EK Success's "Dotted Scallop Edger Punch" at the top of the striped paper. I thought that would make a nice contrast.

I used some tarnished silver brads to attach my vellum quote, which I decided to use as the title.
