I KNEW I heard something coming from Nathan's room Christmas Eve night (while he was at his dad's), but I knew Nathan wasn't home, so I didn't think anything of it. I just thought it was "lonely mom syndrome."
Well, when Nathan came home later on Christmas day, I told him I heard noises and we decided to go check it out. The door was locked! I didn't do that! We unlocked the door and this is what happened!
**I think I was more excited than he was**

Santa Shoppe Rocks!!!
Nathan had his first Santa Shoppe experience at school this year. Which, makes sense since he's in Kindergarten this year! Anyway, when he came home he would NOT let me look in his bag like I always do. He had to wrap all the gifts he got first, then I could look in there. I knew he got his dad a coffee mug, his cousin a pencil and his step-brother stickers, but I had no clue what he got me.
I opened up that bag and unwrapped my gift and got teary eyed! He got me a sun windchime and a dragonfly suncatcher. The windchime - because he knows how much I love to hear the windchimes in the wind. The suncatcher - because he knows how much I love the sun. So incredibly thoughtful!
I will treasure these gifts for as long as I live!!! Much like my mom has kept the tiny vase I bought in the third grade. It sill sits on her dresser next to her jewelry box! I know I will always have these two in a very special place as well!!!

Santa Came!!!!
so, santa arrived at mom's a little earlier than normal this year, but we were kind of expecting that. the kids were upstairs looking through the window, franticlaly looking for santa and his sleigh. but, nathan finally had enough! he decided he was going to go downstairs cuz he "had a feeling santa was here". well, abuelo told the kids they should go downstairs "he didn't want them playing around uop there". so, down the stairs they went. whle ellis was overjoyed at all the gifts santa left, nathan on the other hand was devastated! he missed santa! he didn't see him! "i told you we needed to come downstairs" he says! he was de-ve-stay-ted!!! he finally calmed down a little when he saw that santa had eaten all but one bite of a cookie and drank all the milk AND the reindeer spilled their food out back and left tracks everywhere.
maybe next year i can see if santa will allow himself (or his backside) to be 'seen' so nathan doesn't get quite so upset......it's a tough one, i tell you!

New for 2011
Starting in 2011, I will have more activity for you! I will have Sketchy Saturday, The Friday (.cut) Files, monthly Manic Monday and monthly Tuesday Tutorial! What are all these things, you ask? Well, let me explain.
Will there be anything else coming up in the new year? Well, I will continue to post my layouts and try to keep you abreast of any upcoming/current giveaways, contests or blog hops. I am going to try to keep up with the Memory Works monthly kits and peeks as well.
I will also be happy to hear your feedback/suggestions on anything about any part of my blog(s). My email link is located on the right column of all three blogs.
Other than that......I can't wait to see you and your wonderful works of art!!!
Sketchy Saturday
Every other Saturday morning you should see a new sketch! You will be able to use this sketch to your hearts desire! Flip it, turn it, manipulate it.....any which way. The sketch is there for YOUR creativity. At the bottom of each Sketchy Saturday post, I will have a link (inlinks) which you can use to upload your creation. With this link, you will be able to include a link back to your blog/site! This link will only be available for posting for one month, so if you want to show off your stuff, make sure you do so before the link closes.
The Friday (.cut) Files
Every other Friday morning you should see a new Cricut .cut file for Design Studio. I plan on creating my own .cut file; however, some files may be a creation of another talented lady. Her link will be supplied for you to visit her blog/site as well. I will also include the inlinks link at the bottom of the post as well so you can upload your creation and include a link back to your blog/site! Again, posting your creations will only be an option for one month. These posts; however, will be found on my other blog 101 Ways To Scrap. So, be sure to check back on Fridays there!
Monthly Manic Monday
This will be hosted on the first Monday of every month! I will offer a giveaway/prize of some kind. To get a chance to win, all I will ask is for a comment to be left, become a follower (if not already) and post a link on YOUR blog/site mentioning something about my blog(s) and linking them back to me. That's it! Nothing else will be required!
Monthly Tuesday Tutorial
This will be hosted the second Tuesday of every month! I will have for you some kind of tutorial. It could be for something digital (using PSE 4.0 or some other software), making a special kind of card, a new technique, using paint/spritzers, altered items, anything which someone may want to learn how to do. Although I will always strive to get my own tutorial made for you, you may occassionally see a tutorial made by another talented lady. I will be sure to include a link back to her blog/site so you can see all her wonderful ideas, creations and tutorials. These posts will also be found at 101 Ways To Scrap.

Christmas Joy 2009
Okay, so this one was kinda thrown together a bit. I'm not 1,000% thrilled with it, but i do still like it. What i really like is that it's not your traditional Christmas page! (i like being a little -or a lot- different). Anyway, I used my stash. I had to find things to work together, but i think i managed ok.

Indiana State Fair 2010
I finally completed my State Fair layouts!
This was a bit of a challenge for me. I tried to make all these layouts different. I didn't want them to all look like eachother. I used a few different paper packs and designs. I incorporated cirlcles, flowers, ribbon, buttons and other little embellies. Coming up with different titles was a bit trying as well. All in all, I think I accomplished what I wanted. I am quite satisfied with the end result!
